Customizing Your Start Menu

The Start button is the gateway to many features of Windows 95. As the feature most new users explore first, it's surprising that so many of its functions remain undiscovered.

Perhaps you've tried dragging your favorite applications to the Start menu to automatically produce shortcuts, but chances are, you haven't seen the hierarchical Control Panel before.

How to create a hierarchical Control Panel in the Start menu

1) Click the right mouse button on the Start menu.
2) Open the Start Menu folder and create a new folder in it.
3) Name this folder exactly as follows:

 Control Panel.{21ec2020-3aea-1069-a2dd-08002b30309d}
